Redsn0w 0.9.5b5-5 Fixes APN Or MMS Issues On Jailbroken iPhone 3G, iPod Touch 2G

Redsn0w 0.9.5 Beta, the jailbreak tool for iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G has been seeing many frequent updates lately, including redsn0w 0.9.5 b5-3 update to jailbreak iOS 4, redsn0w 0.9.5 b5-4 which fixed the iBooks issue, and the latest redsn0w 0.9.5 b5-5.

With this latest update, the iPhone Dev Team have fixed APN or MMS issues faced by some users on jailbroken devices. Follow the steps to jailbreak iPhone 3G, iPod Touch 2G on iOS 4, after downloading redsn0w 0.9.5 b5-5 from the link at the end. If your device is already jailbroken with a previous version of redsn0w, make sure that the ‘Install Cydia’ option is NOT selected before going ahead.

redsnow any version doent work for me, whenever i browse file for jailbreaking, it shows “unable to recognize ipsw file”
any idea wat to do?

I’m having the same problem! the iOS on my iPhone is 4.0.1. Is that the problem? when I try to restore my iphone it automatically updates the OS!!
what should I do?

Your site is ridiculous. I have hit the “download” for Redsnow… several times, and you just go round and round with offers for other software, etc.

make sure you have the right firmware
its firmware specific and will only jailbreak if you have the
official release of the ios4(4.0 not 4.0.1 or later)

Thanks for the update. Can’t wait for the general release. I understand it’s not magic and beta testing like this is needed to make sure the general release is a quality one. So good for them.
